Micropreemies

It's often difficult to describe our birth experience with our micro preemie daughter.  What is a micro preemie?  These babies are born extremely premature, between 23 and 25 weeks gestation.  Abby was born at 23 weeks... just at the cusp of viability weighing 1 lb 5.5 oz.  They fight to live every, single moment after birth.  Some for many months after.
